This Catholic church in Milan holds the title of second-largest cathedral in the world. It was started in 1386 by Archbishop Antonio da Saluzzo and Lord of Milan Gian Galeazzo Visconti, who founded the Fabbrica del Duomo to build it.
Medieval fortification was built in the 15th century by Francesco Sforza.
